In the first client update since
Service Pack 1 Winfrasoft added a new "Legal Notice" feature to VPN-Q 2006. This
helps customers comply with legal regulations and corporate policies. This
feature is supported in the client version 2.0.2281.4 and higher and
remote clients will automatically update to this version unless auto update has
been disabled. These settings will have NO effect on clients prior to version
2.0.2281.4. This update is included in Service Pack 2 and higher.
The Legal Notice is disabled by default thus installing this client update will
not affect existing deployment behaviour. To make use of this feature you must
download the latest Group
Policy template (vpn-q.adm) and replace the original template in your Group
Policy Object. The new template has 3 new settings which can be configured as
required:
- Display Legal Notice
- Legal Notice message text
- Legal Notice message title
