How to add corporate branding to a client connection with a custom bitmap in VPN-Q 2006 SP3


A:
 Problem: A standard client setup package includes a Winfrasoft branded graphic. This can be replaced with a custom bitmap.

Resolution: Winfrasoft has included a new feature in SP3 to allow for custom branding. To add custom branding:

  1. Create a bitmap file of 330 x 140 called WinDialer.bmp (Note: File must be type .BMP)
  2. Place it in the following folder on the VPN server: C:\Program Files\VPN-Q 2006
  3. Create a new Client Setup package. The new setup package will contain the new branding.

 

To remove the custom branding and revert back to the default image simply delete the custom bitmap file.

Resolution: This feature requires VPN-Q 2006 service pack 3.
