Microsoft ISA Server and Winfrasoft VPN-Q 2006
Microsoft provides a solid foundation (Common Criteria EAL4+) for
VPN and quarantine services
with ISA Server and Windows. Microsoft ISA Server provides secure
site-to-site and remote access VPN connections over PPTP, L2TP/IPSec, and IPSec
Tunnel Mode protocols. This allows for remote access clients to be placed into a
quarantine network until client checks are completed. Client checks check for
the status of software updates, anti-virus, and other client configuration
settings as specified by corporate policy.VPN-Q 2006 was designed from the ground up for ISA Server and enables the
rapid deployment of VPN quarantine services on ISA Server without the need
for scripting or coding. Adding VPN-Q 2006 to ISA Server creates a
complete client & server solution for secure remote access with client side
compliance checking and can be deployed in minutes!

issues. |
How VPN-Q 2006 integrates with ISA Server 2004 & 2006
| VPN-Q 2006 is made up of a client and server component. The client component
is responsible for performing all the security checks on the client PC and
notifying the server component of the results. The server component is
responsible for receiving the client check results and notifying ISA Server to
remove the client from the quarantine network. The VPN-Q server
administrator provides a simple interface for configuring the quarantine
solution within ISA Server. This includes a
wizard for generating all the
required ISA Server access rules and the VPN client setup component.
